Rick Treworgy is the owner of Muscle Car City, a massive collection of classic muscle cars open to the public. The museum has one big rule according to its website – “Please Do NOT Touch the Cars!” – a rule that might be hard to resist breaking when you see Rick’s epic collection.
The building used to be a Walmart; now the 99,000 square foot building houses over 200 automobiles. The focus of the collection is great General Motors cars from the 1950s to 1970s. Rick has at least one Corvette from every year from 1954 – 1975, and other automobiles on display include Camaros, Chevelles, El Caminos, Impalas and Pontiac GTOs. The collection is always changing, and there are a handful of newer Corvettes. A recent addition to the collection is a 1938 Cadillac Fleetwood.
Located at 3811 Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, Florida, the showroom is unlike any other. There could be no better place for automotive fans to be than Muscle Car City. It’s great when a private collector opens up his muscle car hoard for all to see.
